Andrew Murray McGREGOR 1924/25 146

1927-1931 University of Cape Town B.A. and B.Ed.
1932-1937 Joined the staff of Hottentots Holland High School, Somerset West.
1935-1938 Founder Member and Chairman of the General Botha Old Boys’ Association.

1938-1940 Joined the Missionaries of the Healdtown Mission Institution, became a teacher and later a Principal in its high school.

1939 Joined the National Volunteer Reserve as a Sargeant.

1943 Joined the S.A. Naval Force as a Sub-Lieutenant.

Returned to Mission work after the war.

1952 Founder member of the S.A. branch of the World Ship Society & established the S.A. National Maritime Museum in Cape Town.

1966 Elected Divisional Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of Transkei.

1970 Elected President of the S.A. Teachers’ Association.

1971-1974 Appointed as Curator of the Missionary Museum in King William’s Town.

1980 Retired.
